This chapter covers lecture content (including graphics) addressing the different types of preferential flow, methods of field evaluation, theoretical aspects and modeling, images and video clips of experimental laboratory and field site systems, laboratory- and field-based exercies on preferential flow phenomena and the impacts on rapid contaminant movement of using data on pesticides, nutrients, pathogens, metals, etc. The goal of these resources is to allow instructors to easily integrate the content into existing or new courses.
