Related HowTos:
1. Objectives
- Inform volunteers about test results.
- Inform DEC about test results.
- Inform public about test results.
- Interpret test results in relation to causal factors such as watershed and lake characteristics.
2. Content of reporting
Routine reporting is similar to reporting to categorical groundwater site cooperators. This will tabulate and convey all analytical results per location and sampling date, provide a map of sampling points, and provide cross-lakes and within-lake interpretations that highlight detections.
Possible contents include:
- Watershed maps. CSLAP reports include such maps.
Reports will include a header similar to the one used in categorical and long term site reporting. The reports are addressed to the lake volunteers and the DEC Bureau of Pest Management, from Cornell, possibly from the DEC Air lab.
The 2022 reports were very sparse, thus not requiring any review.
3. Timing of reporting
Sampling is organized on a yearly basis, with one or two sampling times. An annual reporting cycle is useful, in tandem with reports to categorical cooperators.
